Looking for Adventure - Joho

Hello!

Today I want to share a new project for Scrap FX.
Our newest monthly products are all sea inspired products, fabulous, because that's one of my fav themes. But the summer is over here, Halloween is just around the corner and so was my idea to create a mixed media fantasy layout inspired from the movie 'Pirates of Carribean '.

I used a dark spider web background paper as basic. On the photo you can see a motif from this movie it was a sand sculpturing challenge.

I wanted to create a background in a gloomy dripping atmosphere in a ship hull, therefore I used only the drops from the Splat stencil

the typical pirate symbol I found as a piece in the  Steampunk Top hat set

in combination with a gear and a cut out from an old magazine

our black silhouette Boho Arrow border
reminds me on to the hat pendant of Jack Sparrow, of course Captain Jack Sparrow ;-)

Many thanks for your visit!
Happy crafting!

Vision

Hi crafty friends!

Today a new inspiration with the latest awesome products from Scrap FX.
I'm  a big fan of mixed media projects, you can mixed so many various materials such like this wonderful chipboards, spray colours, textured, fabric and old book paper leftovers, stencils, stamps and cutting dies - always a lot of possibilities.
I upcycle a wooden house into a new home decoration piece.
I was inspired from the phrase and cool looking eyes on the transparency,
very suitable for a new gift in industrial grunge style.

Artsy fishes with 3D effect

Welcome crafty friends!

Today a new inspiration with an awesome stamp from Scrap FX.
It's a mixed media canvas with two stamped fishes in black and white
which look like Ying and Yang .

The background was made with white crackle paste, black and white acrylic colour
and some stencils.

 some details

stamped with black Archival ink pad on watercolour paper

another fish was made with the second reprint

both were cut out and worked with the same technique as seen on the next project

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

My second inspiration is a cover for a new planner.

 some details

I stamped the Koi fish on a watercolor paper and used some distress inks for painting and a black fineliner  for some accents.

The fins were additionally covered with Crackle glaze transparent.
Then I cut out the fish, the fins were slightly cut to shape it better with the help of a pencil.

some stencil background techniques with stamp ink pad
 and transparent glass beads

 Happy crafting!
