Another way

  Welcome everyone!

Our new theme at Our creative corner in November is

 - Topsy Turvy! -
Lys says: ''We often try to do the 'right' way, use the suitable thing, organize our creations following definite lines or intentions… and sometimes it doesn’t go the way we wanted to. Sometimes it goes to the bin, sometimes we discover something new… and we love it!

On the right side or topsy turvy… Is there a right side in art?

So let’s play!:  whatever it is: upside down,  inverted, reversed or escaping from the right order…. Please show me one “topsy turvy” creation, and how it came to life in your hands!

I have used the theme to try it some new, I like to do this with Mr. Art Journal ;-)
My favourite product in moment is Matte medium as transfer for pictures from old magazines,
by coincidence is this shadow effect behind the face emerged.

- together in beauty -

Feelings and experiences

just another way

Let the ideas flow to marvel at the end itself!
our fantastic sponsor this month is
DECOART
Prize is a Decoart Media Sampler Kit and Andy Skinner will include a few of his stencils too

Happy crafting

Call me !

Welcome!

thanks for all your lovely comments on my Haunted Pharmacy, it was fab reading them all.

Today I am sharing with you

our new theme this month at Our creative corner
                                     Halloween Horror

our horror ;-) big Boss Laura says:
'' For this Halloween share with us some horror inspired creations that
are sure to send shivers down our spines.

Bring out your most grotesque stamps and embellishments....
....or perhaps take on the challenge of finding a way to transform pretty stamps into something macabre.
Reach for the grungiest colours and textures....
Come over to the dark side of Halloween ''

My idea was to make a little wooden frame with humor.
She says, I will call you -  yes, my one and only love - I will wait.
and he waits, and waits and ..... and if he is not dead, he is still waiting today ;-)
that's Horror , or ???

How I made this

my first idea, mostly it looks different at the end  ;-)

use black crackle creme + distress ink
(dye ink walnut stain + water in mini mister)

to ink Mr. Skeleton with firstly white Gesso and then distress ink walnut stain

for the background I use a piece old wallpaper, glue it on cardboard with Decoupageglue, spray a little bit water on it, rub it, added Metallic lustre and you will have an altered look

attached thick cardboard with hot glue gun

Forget cute cats and smiling pumpkins....

we want....

Gift box Surprise

Welcome everyone,
today a new idea for our beautiful autum theme by Our creative Corner this month.

Our very creative Julia is hosting and she said :
I love the colours of autumn! Those beautiful and dramatic reds, golds, yellows, browns, greens and all shades in between. Your challenge this month is to take some inspiration from the colours in the image provided and make an autumnal inspired project.
September -  Shades of Autumn

Autumn Leaves Wallpapers

A friend needed a special gift box for a special occasion in Paris.
He travels with his girlfriend to one of the beautiful bridges in October.
Do you know what the two plan :-) ???
It's a little wooden box in mixed media style and i used a transfer technique in combination with spray inks in brown tones and stencils (fallen chestnut leaves). I think it's masculine and autumnal too.

How I made this

1. use Matte Medium 3 x - on laser copy; on box - let it dry - than once again on laser copy
once turn around  and  with the still wet side on the box, let dry for at least 2 hours
with a damp sponge rub off the backside
(a perfect Tuto to the use of Matte Medium can you see here by Andy Skinner)

2. use white Gesso + stencils for structure, let it dry

3. play with colors - spray mist (black + brown)
and Fluid acrylics (Blue green light +  Cobalt Teal Hue)

4. highlighted with Metallic Lustre Lavish Green

5. use embellishments + old jewelry chain

6. to finish use Soft -Touch Varnish

:-) Now it's your turn :-)
Creative Embellishments are offering the random prize winner
a $25 voucher to spend at their store

Happy crafting!!

I decided to make a new art journal page to this topic.

Inspire

Welcome crafters on everywhere
to the second month's Sponsor Spotlight!
 at Our creative corner
with a new project  in ART JOURNAL :-)
perfectly theme, because it makes me happy!,
it relaxes me and helps me to stress management
This month our Sponsor is Creative Embellishments

They have a huge assortment of gorgeous chipboards and it was not easy to decided,
what should I choose???

In fact, there are no rules for journaling, is anything goes .
This is actually the oft-quoted "The journey is the reward" and the images are created precisely.
The journaling very different forms of expression can be used: painting, drawing, photography, collage, stamps, stencils, chipboards, writing, .... and much more. Often it is a combination of different techniques in Mixed media style, that lead to pages .
for this project I chose the Leafy vine frame, the wonderful Flourish dragonflies and the Words Inspire

I hope you will inspired to discover the fascinating world of using Chipboards from Creative Embellishments also for the several options in Art Journaling.

Creative Embellishments are offering a $25 gift certificate to our randomly drawn winner
