The Sea - Origin of Life

Welcome friends,

it's time again for Mr. Art journal ;-)
today I am submerged in the endless depths of the oceans, one of my favorite subjects,  I also-called " water rat ''. That is,  I can pass  any larger water  without jumping in, regardless of  stormy sea or cool temperatures.

- Power of Sea -

on this page I have tried to represent the force of the water, the waves and surf with the help of white gesso and blue spray paints,
who was already swimming in heavy seas at the ocean, perhaps the force of the waves has also been felt and learned,
I'm caught in a so called beach rip current  a few years ago
a memorable and very educational experience !!
it feels like in the drum of the washing machine and do not know which way is up and down!

Even with these beautiful jellyfish, you should not come in contact
I had no stamp on it, I'm just paint from somewhere and covered with iridescent color, the magic touch to show the fascination of these marine animals better

the text on this page comes from a wonderful song (Unheilig - Fernweh)
I found him so fitting
colored with Distressfarben and slightly wavy;-)
the brilliant Lions Fish is a stamp of Flonzkraft

the seabed was made with white gesso mixed with bird sand
using a punch of memory box (branches) did the underwater flora
with a shell stamp I have lent the sand  additional structure

Supplies:
clear stamps - Lionsfish (Flonzkraft); sea motifs (Viva decor); seahorse + shell (Prima)
white gesso; spray inks; distress inks, interference

I'm entering my Art journal project into the following challenges:
Mixed Media Challenge New
(Art journaling is a new favorite topic for me )
Country view challenge using something new for you
( Art journal + iridescent color on jellyfish)

Have fun !!
Liebe Sonntagsgrüße

Three is my lucky number

Welcome friends,
When it comes to luck many of us like to believe in the helping power of some four-leaved clover or touching a chimney sweeper or having a lucky number for example (or all of it *lol)...so as luck is something we wish each other at the beginning of a new year our first challenge theme for 2015 is about luck too:

"Three's my lucky number!"

This means you have to either incorporate the number "3" itself or make "three of a kind" an important factor of your creation. That could mean to add three identical gears as embellishments for example....or repeat the same stamped image three times...or create three visually connected objects that form a trio...just to name a few possibilities...the 3 has to be an obvious element of your design.

3 Wishes for 2015
3 colours
3 stars

Supplies:

corrugated cardboard
acrylic metalic  paint silver
stencil Tim Holtz clockwork
Croco crackling colour black + croco crackling paste silver
Silver patina
Staz on Jet black + Pigment ink Brilliance silver
clear stamps Viva Decor
Distress ink black soot
embellishments Prima, Tim Holtz
face mask from 1€ shop (foam rubber)

bottom right corner close up black crackle + silver patina
behind the wire

Adventure + Fantasy + Power

background was painted with silver acrylic paint and a large paintbrush in stripes
bottom left: first worked with stencil distress ink, then stamped
upper range: first croco crackling paste silver
then  gradient effects with liquid Distress ink + water

This month's prize sponsor is Bastel - Welt Schobes

So don't miss the chance to win  by entering a project to our actual challenge: Three's my lucky number which is still open until the end of the month. The winner will - as always - be picked randomly among all the (proper) entries from the 2D and 3D collections.

I hope you will join in and have fun creating some Steampunk goodness! Can't wait to see your entries!

I'm entering my LO into:
Ink, Paint; Canvas 30 x 30 cm; Stamping, Mixed Media; Wire, crackle paste; bling stars

Happy crafting!!!

My New Love - Mr. Art Journal :-)

Welcome friends,

I have discovered a new fascinating subject for me, it combines words and pictures. Surprising that it has not grabbed me earlier, because I was always trying to tell stories with my projects. Probably it had to come to maturity, the more it excites me now! The foundation for this I laid in April with my post's Geboren um zu leben and Because I'm happy
From the idea of a Pensieve by Prof. Dumbledore (Harry Potter) I've always been fascinated to be able to store memories, thoughts and feelings easily, on the one hand they can not blow my head then ;-), but above all, they are also rescued from oblivion!

 Time - Rad der Zeit

Sometimes you get the feeling of being overrun by the wheels of time, you know that?
like a mighty wave...

Since there seems to be no specific regulations on this subject, I have created my own targets. It's for me a space to experiment and document, capture memories. Things, that's  have really moved me in my life, which are important to me!
At the same time it is also a way to break out of this illusory world and  call a spade a spade honest and sincere, without thinking about the consequences.

Supply list: mask stencil gears and stencil words
white gesso with palette knife on grit band (Gitterband)
staz on ink pad: jet black and white
texture and motif stamps (Prima, La Blanche, Viva Decor)

black and white contrast effect

that was just the beginning of a series of art journaling pages, I had incredibly great time working on the pages of an old craft calendar!
and I hope you will see more and more ;-)

I want to entering my new Art journaling project into the following challenges:
Art journaling is a new topic for me (esp. the work with words, but i used old friends how white gesso
and new technique for me - stamp on gesso)
Happy crafting

First Swap - Little things

Welcome friends,
please excuse that's now only in my own language, but unfortunately my English is not so perfect that I can let my mind wander. If you interested, please use the translation program, if everything here would translate, you wouldn't see the beautiful inspirations.

Klein, aber oho - Small, but tough
sozusagen.

Because, it makes me happy :-)!

Happy New Year again

our new theme by Our creative corner

   "Christmas Leftovers"

Recycle your Christmas garbage. Gift wrap, empty gift wrap rolls, gift bags,
 gift boxes, tissue paper, ribbon...etc.
The project itself doesn't have to have a Christmas theme, just the items to use to make it.

great idea from Pamellia, one of our new very talented DT.
I decided to make an old or new ;-) altered Box from a christmas box. I love to play with colors and textures in Vintagestyle.

,

box was first painted with white acrylic paint, then I have worked with various effect creams
(Facettenlack Croco Crackling Colour Veneziablau and silver cream)

then worked with distress spray inks /vintage photo + walnut stain
sprayed and wiped

also added a few snippets old book pages with decoupage glue and
a crackle stamp + staz on Jet Black stamped

flowers are punched from old book pages and bright jeans cloth

Croco Crackling Creme silver applied in different strength

So bring your Christmas leftovers to Our creative corner
